Sci-fi is as much About Ethics as it is about science.
We do not believe there is “bad” science or “evil” technology. We do believe that both have sociological, psychological, and physical impacts, for good or ill: it is the human application and intent that determines the impact of any discovery or invention. Novels sold by GSFB are dedicated to examining what it means to be a woman in a culture where technology outpaces ethics.
Our sci-fi is Gothic.
Our novels feature smart women doing science in eerie places. Suspense, realistic science and unhappy endings mix with supernatural elements to produce compelling and unsettling stories that are the antithesis of "cozy." Our books subvert the prevailing culture of look-alike stories churned out to game algorithms. We do not use generative AI to research, plot, draft, or revise any of our books.
